This month I read Hikaro No Go by Yuma Hotta, And it Is really good.
Usually, manga is about superpowers, or things you wouldnβt really see in real life. But this one I think Is a little bit more down to earth compared to pother manga. Itβs about a school boy names hikaru, who is searching his grampaβs house for anything he can make a profit off of. During which he find this old go* board game believed to be the oldest board game ever, dating around 2,500 years ago ) that is haunted by a ghost that died in the heian period. This ghost died before he could learn one move, the divine move. The ghost decides to teach hikaru, who has no interest in go, how to play the game. But something off, Hikaru starts to make advanced go moves even without the ghost help, So is hikaru as useless as he thinks, or is he a secret pro without even noticing? Find out after the add! ( Iβm just kidding. ) I love this book because some parts are funny and a train wreck, And some are serious. My favorite character is the ghost, He is very calm yet silly, and does not get mad easily, On pg.175. He says βFine go ahead and think what you want.β Showing that they wonβt make a big fuss about it.
